Goddess Sculpture
Moulding the clay, letting my hands feel their way to form a naked head, of almost perfect proportions, on a formed plinth of a torso, a suggestion of arms close to the upper body. This Goddess became herself when dried and bisque fired.
Painting her in rich blue smudged with bronze enhanced her exotic countenance, and the jewellery she needed I created using organic twigs and twine, in contrast to the luscious yet subtle choice of this paint effect.
She has regal wisdom in her countenance, a hint of pride. Why not? She is worth it.
